Xeno Systems provide a range of database administration that you can pick and choose from. This allows you to select the level of cover you require and has the flexibility to meet changing requirements. Our clients currently include local authorities as well as private sector companies. Our database administration and development teams have many years experience of database products, particularly Oracle - this includes RDBMS, Developer Tools, Internet Application Server (PL/SQL gateway and Forms Server); and of the IT industry in general (UNIX (Dynix, SunOs, Solaris, HP/UX and others), Windows 9.x, 2000, NT4, HTML, Javascript, MS Office, MS SQLServer and Foxpro).
All our consultants have worked in a variety of industries, both public and private sectors, so are fully aware of the challenges faced in the modern working environment.
Help Desk
An unlimited number of calls can be made to our help desk, providing advice, solutions and recommendations from our team of experienced database administrators. If required, a remote link can be set up so we can tackle problems "hands on". Calls of up to 30 minutes can be handled by the help desk.
Committed Support
This is time available to you for whatever additional needs you may have. Typically this can include installations, upgrades, migrations, consultancy, data transfer, performance tuning, health checking and issues requiring more than the help desk's standard 30 minutes duration. Committed support is generally purchased in days and you can purchase as few or as many as you require. Work is generally done via a remote link to your database, but some items (such as installations) would by necessity be on-site.
DBA Assistance
This is used to supplement your own on-site database adminstrator (DBA), either remotely or on-site. Examples where additional database support may be required are: you may have an inexperienced DBA who requires a little extra support and temporary help until they are able to manage alone; your DBA may be temporarily overloaded with work and require some additional help to cope; or you only have a single DBA and require cover during holiday periods or sickness.
Complete DBA Solutions
We can provide a full, cost-effective database administration service, either short-term or permanent. This is usually required where you have to manage a critical database but there are no resources available to provide your own DBA. The service is on-demand to ensure your system runs smoothly and effectively. Normally this would be a remote service, but special circumstances may require on-site visits.
